NELLIE BELLE
9/1/1990 - 11/14/2001
Our precious little Nellie died on November 14, 2001. She was 11 years, one month old. Her birthday was September 1st. She was a
mixed Chihuahua and small Terrier. She had mild seizures during her life, but developed severe seizures in the last month of her life. She died from complications with a brain tumor. She came to live with us when she was just 8 weeks old and her
weight was about one pound. She grew to be about 5.5 pounds. She walked
about a mile everyday and loved to meet all her friends along the way. She
had a 17 pound cat and two birds in the house as friends. Sometimes she would walk through
the aviary of about 80 birds and there were birds that called her by name and others that just
barked like her. Nellie loved to travel and took at least two pillows and a
blanket when she went on a trip; along with her food and thermos for water. She was
seldom out of the driveway before she wanted her food. She loved to play
with her food; throwing it into the air, chasing it, attacking it, then chopping
away at it. Nellie was our pride and joy and we will miss her forever.
