Feeding Instructions
ZuPreem
® Premium
Ferret Diet is meant to be your
ferret’s sole diet. Feed free choice and limit the amount
of treats to no more than 20% of your ferret’s total diet.
Remove old food and replenish with new food daily.
Weaning
–
Moisten food with warm water until it is
soft. During this time, also introduce a few dry nuggets.
Replace uneaten moistened food after four hours.
Growing Ferrets
–
Young ferrets need plenty of energy
and nutrients to help them grow and develop. Feed diet
free choice or as much as your ferret will eat to meet
nutritional needs.
Adult Ferrets
–
Feed ZuPreem Premium Ferret Diet
free choice. On average, ferrets will consume 1/2 to 3/4
cup of food per day. Adjust the amount of food depending
on age, activity and environment to maintain optimal
body weight without obesity or excessive thinness.
Reproducing Jills
–
Reproducing jills need significantly
more food during certain stages of pregnancy and until
the kits are weaned. Make sure the ferret is offered more
than she chooses to eat during this time.
Converting to ZuPreem
®
Premium Ferret Diet –
Slowly introduce your ferret to ZuPreem Premium Ferret
Diet by mixing it with the previous diet over seven to 14
days. Gradually increase the amount of Premium Ferret
Diet and reduce the amount of the previous diet until
ZuPreem Premium Ferret Diet makes up 100% of the
total diet.
Note
– As an
indicator of health, always monitor for
changes in weight and body condition. Provide adequate
amounts of food to maintain good body condition,
preventing excessive thinness or obesity.
Always provide clean, fresh water.

Storage Instructions
Store in a cool dry place, free of pests and insects.
Gently push air from bag and reclose immediately afer
use to keep the food fresh.
